Your Tantalising Autumn to Winter Transitional Wardrobe

Cosy Brushed Cotton Shirt in raisin / crimson (BFB)Chic shirts

It’s a tricky time of year, although the nights are drawing in it’s still not cold enough to get really wrapped up – you need a wardrobe that will take you through this transitional season in style. It may come as something of a welcome relief to put those sleeveless tops away, and when it’s not quite cold enough to get the chunky knitwear out, a gorgeous long sleeve shirt like this is ideal. Made from pure brushed cotton, it’s yarn dyed and woven for a high quality finish. This is a natural classic in an effective check design that looks stunning with a pair of blue jeans.

Look flawless in all natural fabrics

Choosing the right fabrics are essential to make a transitional wardrobe work for you. With changeable weather – and going from hot to cold – you won’t want to be sweltering in thick knits or feeling too chilly in sheer tops. Fabrics like pure silk and lambswool work really well. They are breathable and all-natural, so they work in harmony with your body. And they don’t just keep you feeling great, they also look fantastic; classic and stylish.

Lightweight knitwear is perfect to add an extra layer without feeling too warm. A notch neck silk knit top (left) adds great lightweight warmth. Our heavenly silk-cashmere-cotton mixes (centre) are unique blends that are soft, easy to wear and luxuriously comfortable. We also love seasonal patterned knits (right), they are beautifully detailed in intricate patterns. Snuggle down in a silky soft sweater for an evening by the fire or look equally elegant on a night out in town.

If you’re going out on a colder day our padded silk quilted jacket (below left) or gilet (below centre) adds an extra layer of both warmth and sophistication. Or cosy up in our thicker pure lambswool cardi-coat (below right), you’ll be looking sensational and keeping snug.

Autumnal hues

One of the best things about this time of year is the colours, make the most of the season by reflecting those tones in your clothes. From dark chocolate to bright squash, spice up your wardrobe – and beautiful berry shades like rich raisin and dewberry are perfect for brightening up both grey skies and dark staples.
