Cup of tea?
Silk legend has it that around 2500 BC Lady Hsi Ling Shih was taking a cup of tea when a cocoon fell into her cup and unravelled into silk thread. She has been known ever since as the ‘Goddess of Silk Worms’. Accurate or not this legend emphasises the importance of this precious fibre.
