Patra Silk Announces Their Spring 2010 Catalogue, With A Range Of Silk Clothing That Will See The Wearer Through Cold To Warmer Weather.

Button Through TopRita Patra, Managing Director of the online and mail order silk clothing retailer, says of the new collection, “What we’ve tried to achieve with the new collection is basically to introduce a range of updated classics and new styles that will see the wearer through this unpredictable time of year. It’s still very cold outside, but people are looking forward to warmer weather.”

There will still be some popular items from the Autumn collection available. Rita comments, “Our silk thermals were really popular this winter, as people recognised the temperature-regulating properties of silk are excellent at keeping you warm – especially as a base layer in the winter. So we’re keeping those for a while longer, as it’s still quite chilly outside.”

There are new items in the collection, such as the Habotai Silk Parka. The material is lightweight and showerproof, with a detatchable hood, and comes in jade as well as classic neutrals. “We’ve been careful to create our Spring collection in between-season colours,” says Rita. “The jewel brights were very popular in the Autumn and Winter, but as we go into Spring, a lot of people want softer, more neutral colours. So with our classic Fuji Silk Blouse, for example, as well as updating the cut, giving it a more tailored look, we’ve introduced new colours for Spring.”
